Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

InsuranceOS is operated by Brutally Honest Software, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We build practice-management software for independent insurance agencies. Our contact address is hello@getinsuranceos.com.

2. What we collect

We collect two categories of information:

• Account data. Your name, email address, agency name, and billing information provided when you sign up or subscribe.
• Agency data. Client records, policy data, household information, and other content you enter into the platform while using InsuranceOS. This data belongs to you.
• Usage data. Log files, page-level analytics, and error reports used to operate and improve the service. We do not sell this data.

3. How we use it

• Provide, maintain, and improve the InsuranceOS platform.
• Process subscription payments via Stripe.
• Send transactional emails (account setup, billing receipts, signing links).
• Respond to support requests.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your agency data with third parties for marketing purposes, ever.

4. Sub-processors

We use a small number of trusted sub-processors to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting). Each is bound by data processing agreements.

5. Data security

Agency data is stored in a dedicated, isolated database environment with row-level security enforced at the database layer — no user can access another agency's data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not store payment card numbers; Stripe handles all card data under PCI-DSS compliance.

6. Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 30 days before deletion so you have time to export it. You may request immediate deletion by emailing hello@getinsuranceos.com.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Email us at hello@getinsuranceos.com and we will respond within 5 business days.

8. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication only. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
